Hi, My name is Sarah Wilkinson - the artist behind Silky Rose Design.

I am a self-taught freelance illustrator and designer living in Greater London.

I enjoy working both traditionally and digitally. I love the creative freedom that comes from drawing digitally, allowing me to experiment and grow.​ I am constantly learning and trying different styles and techniques.

The word that best describes my style is whimsical - it is playful and fun and I enjoy expressing humour in my work. I like combining bright and pastel colours and working with textures and patterns. I also like to include small details that aren't obvious from first glance.

Inspiration for my work comes mostly from pop culture, nature, food, and everyday life. For example, one of my two kids will say something that amuses me and it sparks an idea.
